This is not an advertisement post. I would like to share my experience on releasing music in the platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer. You can share your music on the platforms you would like to take place. This is the story of how I have taken place in these platforms. So, let’s start.

Soundcloud

Soundcloud was the first place I have started publishing my songs. When I finished my first full track I looked for a way to share my music with my friends. However, sending files on WhatsApp was not enough. I have found Soundcloud, where your all needs meet if you’re an amateur like me. I knew it but never used before making music. However, I release all the music I make easily for free there. I’ve been using Spotify and still desiring to see my music in the playlists I have created on Spotify.

AWAL

As you know the platforms we mention are the commercial fields. You can make money. If you want to make money you need to invest. I don’t want to make money from music. It’s just a hobby for me. So, I didn’t want to pay money for releasing my songs on the commercial platforms. I started with AWAL. AWAL releases you songs for free in case they agree you’re doing it well. I tried and failed. When I explored the other companies which Spotify recommeds I have realised that the other companies want money. The charges were not too high but I still didn’t want to pay money.

Routenote

I have found Routenote. I didn’t know it and googled to be sure that they are reliable. I couldn’t find too much about them except some blog posts which I think they are advertisement posts. However, I tried it. There was nothing to lose. I haven’t waited too much, received an e-mail about my approval status.

I felt very excited at the moment I have received that e-mail. It didn’t take too long to see my song on Spotify. It has been released on every platform I have put in for.

You can choose the platforms you would like to take place. I have applied for Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Shazam, and Soundcloud. I never know why I’ve applied for Soundcloud. If you’re in Apple Music you’re also in iTunes. You are able to choose the price for your song. I have chosen the standard price as default. You can also choose the countries for your song to be released.

What’s the profit of Routenote? They make your song commercial and get 15% of the income. If some song gain a reputation they earn money. If not they don’t lose.

My two songs are available on those platforms currently. You can search for me as “Onur Tuna” and find my songs as “Dark” and “Podium”. I hope this post stands one in good stead. Bye.
